The Organic ScoreCard: An awareness test

The Organic ScoreCard is a 108-item awareness test measuring the concept of awareness developed by Marc Grond. It looks at the 12 domains of awareness that drive your preferences and behaviours. Individuals complete the online assessment in 20-30 minutes, resulting in an automated report. The Organic ScoreCard plot the scores on a radar diagram representing the perspectives of ‘survival’ (brainstem orientation), ‘connection’ (limbic orientation) or ‘trust’ (neocortex orientation) in red, blue and yellow areas. The ScoreCard provides a ‘snapshot’ of an individual’s life strategy and coaches use it as a personal coaching and therapeutic tool. The goal of the feedback session is to determine whether a strategy is effective in your current context.

What does the Organic ScoreCard measure?

The Organic ScoreCard: Measuring the concept of awareness

The Organic ScoreCard is a 108-item scale awareness test measuring the concept of awareness. It is used as a personal coaching and therapeutic tool. It was developed by Marc Grond, a Dutch business consultant and behavioural coach. The theory behind the Organic ScoreCard is based on universal principles and classifications of awareness. The scores are plotted on a radar diagram representing the three broad groups of brain energy in red, blue and yellow areas.

The Organic ScoreCard is a comprehensive online assessment that provides a unique blueprint of subconscious strategy and behaviour with astounding precision.

Understand awareness that drives behaviours

The Organic ScoreCard looks at the awareness that drives your preferences and behaviours. It is a validated assessment designed to provide detailed insight into your behaviour, the motivations behind your  behaviour and the goals you  want to achieve in life. It illustrates how you can take the necessary steps to achieve your potential and happiness.

The Organic ScoreCard: Cover all angles of awareness

By dividing ‘awareness’ firstly into awareness of individuality, time and space, and then subdividing each of these items into four aspects, 12 domains of awareness were defined. In this way the 12 domains of the ScoreCard cover all angles of awareness (and subsequently, action). Each of these domains represents  viewing the world from the three broad perspectives of ‘survival’ (brainstem orientation), ‘connection’ (limbic orientation) or ‘trust’ (neocortex orientation). This gives a total of 36 awareness differentiations.

Basis for interventions

The ScoreCard provides a ‘snapshot’ of an individual’s subconscious mind. It develops awareness of a person’s functioning in different work environments. It is also used as an assessment tool and basis for interventions to promote healthy behaviour.

Our context often determines behaviour. Understanding the various brain strategies gives insight into the origin of our behaviour. The Organic ScoreCards is an ‘X-ray’ of our personal life strategy which is often based on our ‘historical’ circumstances and our reactions to such circumstances.

Life strategy

Human beings try to construct the most appropriate way to deal with life- a collection of experiences, interpretations and images called a life strategy. Therefore life strategy that a person uses  reflects a time in their past when these strategies were useful and effective. Most important, these past experiences are probably no longer relevant today and  can potentially block meaningful behaviour and hamper optimal growth.

Windows on the world

Awareness is divided into 12 windows through which the world is seen. In Organic Theory these windows are called “domains”. The Organic ScoreCard reveals our  brain strategy in the 12 domains. They are the windows through which we consider  opportunities in the world. If we remain unaware of the windows we have opened and the ones that are closed, our behaviour will stay the same.

This inner logic contributes to coherent behaviour. Each of us has a brain strategy and it plays out in our behaviour.

Brain systems

The Organic ScoreCard divides the brain into three systems: the brain stem, limbic brain and neocortex, an ‘X-ray’ of these systems,  identifying which parts you are using in your strategy.

It also offers exercises tailored to your unique set of results and aimed at developing and expanding your growth. Once completed, you are encouraged to re-do the assessment to see how far you have come.

What is the process?

The TransMind Organic ScoreCard is an online assessment where individuals allocate points to statements according to how relevant the statements are to them. People complete the assessment online in 20-30 minutes. Transmind generates an automated report. After the online assessment, individuals have a feedback session with a therapist or coach to determine whether their strategy is effective in their current context.

Online assessment

Individuals complete the TransMind Organic ScoreCard online. They allocate points to statements according to how relevant the statements are to them. Individuals complete the assessment itself online in 20-30 minutes. Given brain development and comprehension, our assessment is applicable to anybody over the age of 11.

Automated graph

After individuals fill out the assessment they receive an automated report. The report compiles all the information gathered by the questionnaire into a red, blue and yellow graph which helps you and your coach or therapist to gain insight into what we call your life strategy.

Your life strategy is your best attempt to navigate life. You discover the “viability” of your strategy by evaluating how effective it is with regards to the context that you find yourself in.

Feedback session

After completing the online assessment, users participate in a feedback session. This is done by a therapist or coach who knows how to interpreting the Organic ScoreCard. The goal of the feedback session is to determine whether your strategy is effective in your current context. The next step is looking at possible new strategies. If you find that your strategy fits your context, the Organic ScoreCard provides you with the words to celebrate who you are.

What Makes the Organic ScoreCard Unique?

Change your perspective and you will change your outcome

The Organic ScoreCard’s automated report and chart provided an innovative, fresh and current approach to identify people’s domains of awareness and highlight areas where blockages in their inner and outer relationships seem to occur. The colourful computer generated chart produced after the online completion of the questionnaire provides a concrete starting point to coaching or interventions.

The Organic ScoreCard: Unique awareness assessment

The Organic ScoreCard is the only assessment that gives unique insight into the individuals awareness and provides measurable results. This tool pigeon-hole or label nobody. There are more possible ways to complete the Organic ScoreCard than there are atoms in the universe.

Awareness can change

Your awareness can change, just like your life strategy can change. Therefore you can fill out a new Organic ScoreCard once a year to track your journey of growth. This enables you and your coach to see shifts and growth within your life strategy. It gives you the opportunity to test, identify and celebrate change.

Words to describe awareness

Individuals say that the Organic ScoreCard gives them words to describe their own personal life strategy. It illustrates personal characteristics that are sometimes not discernible and often indescribable to others. It also helps them understand what their options are going forward. In this way the Organic ScoreCard helps you imagine new ways of tackling life. The Organic ScoreCard however, does not only identify your problem, but helps you move forward as well.

Advantages of the ScoreCard:

  • Shows our inner drives rather than acquired behaviour
  • Reveals our awareness as well as the unconscious energy used in our brains
  • Helps us develop an action plan for a growth trajectory
  • Helps  us reflect on our own development based on a personalised ScoreCard
  • Deepens our insights at the level of intrinsic motivation and consciousness
  • Assesses intrinsic awareness that drives behaviour
  • Identifies growth areas
  • Makes real-time consciousness interventions possible
  • Appreciates and validates current strengths

How to use the Organic ScoreCard as a coaching tool?

Shifts in awareness results in shifts in behaviour. The Organic ScoreCard supports insightful systemic coaching processes.

As human beings, we develop ‘strategies’ to deal with life based on our own experiences. In other words, these strategies become hardwired in our subconscious, even though they can be flawed. In order to change our behaviour we need to change these automatic thinking patterns..

The Organic ScoreCard enables you to start addressing the strategy preventing your growth. Individuals do the assessment online and receive one to one feedback either face-to-face or via a video call.

This dynamic online assessment takes only 20-30 minutes to complete but provides deep insights (via a comprehensive report and one to one feedback session) into the cause and effect of an individual’s strategy and behaviour. It also identifies specific individual blocks that prevent success.

The Organic ScoreCard supports insightful systemic coaching processes.

Is the Organic ScoreCard credible?

Validation

In 2004 marc Grond standardised the assessment tool’s test items based on a sample of approximately 150 test participants. In 2021, Transmind registered 12 000 participants in a reassessment process. The new test item standards were thus implemented since 2012 to 2021. The Organic ScoreCard has now been tested by people from 20 countries, including Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Far East, South Africa (various ethnic backgrounds), Northern Africa, North America and New Zealand.
